Asbestos & environmental waste regulations

Under EA regulations, it is the responsibility of the client, duty-holder or homeowner to ensure that any removed asbestos (and any other hazardous waste) is disposed of properly and safely by a qualified licenced contractor to an appropriate disposal site. Using ‘cowboy’ waste removal companies or not disposing hazardous waste properly can result in fines of up to £50,000.

AIRS is a licenced waste carrier for the disposal of asbestos and can provide asbestos waste clearance certificates upon completion of work. Please contact us if you need advice on any disposal matters.

  Company Responsibilities
