Asbestos & environmental
waste regulations
Under EA regulations, it is the responsibility of the
client, duty-holder or homeowner to ensure that any removed
asbestos (and any other hazardous waste) is disposed of
properly and safely by a qualified licenced contractor
to an appropriate disposal site. Using ‘cowboy’ waste
removal companies or not disposing hazardous waste properly
can result in fines of up to £50,000.
AIRS is a licenced waste carrier for the disposal of asbestos
and can provide asbestos waste clearance certificates
upon completion of work. Please contact us if you need
advice on any disposal matters.
